RESULT OF DRIVERS MEETING ON 13TH DECEMBER 2008
CAR LOANING
The Committee have decided to reinforce the rule of NO CAR SHARING at any meeting, including the DD.   No driver may loan their car to a fellow driver.   If someone wishes to take part in just the DD, they must have their own car with them, and they will be charged £1.00.
A driver may loan their car to a spectator to use in a DD only, but only on non-trophy meetings.   Race control must be informed in advance.

BODYSHELLS
There is to be no more changing of bodyshells for the DD.
Previously raced shells are permitted, but must still be in a reasonable condition, with the front and rear end still intact.
For new bodyshells, only 1 layer of tape may be used inside the shell on the door pillars and corners.
No metal washers inside the bodyshell, they must all now be plastic.
No cutting or heating of wheel arches, a heat gun made be used on the front and back only.
The bottom of the bodyshell must be level with the chassis.

CONSTRUCTION
No Mini axles or wheel & tyres permitted on the V12's.
Countersunk chassis are now permitted for bangers.
The introduction of a new top plate (available from either Richard or Gruff) is optional, but recommended, and must not exceed 8 mounting points.
Aluminium A frames are NOT permitted.
Aluminium rear pods are now permitted.
In the case of Hearses, Estates, and Vans, the rear mount MUST now be fitted in front of the motor mount.
All vehicles must run smoothly over the scrutineering base plate.
Tyre measurments have now been added to the full construction rules for bangers.
No suspension allowed on Reliant Robins.

MOTORS
Permitted motors are now the following - G1, G2, Tamiya kit motor, Graupner, 27 turn HPI.

TEAM CHALLENGE
This has now changed to under 2 litre, and the permitted list of shells for the Team Challenge is as follows - Cortina, Capri, Sierra, Escort, Mondeo, Calibra, Bluebird, Anglia, and any A60.

CLUB RULES
No vehicle shall enter the race track without a bodyshell, this is in the interest of safety.
Driving the wrong way across the start/finish line will result in severe penalties.
Vehicles are to enter the track for their race, and LINE UP & KEEP STILL until the race starts.   Continually delaying the start of a race will result in penalties.

HIRE CARS
The club is to purchase a banger, which may be hired (for once only) by a spectator (booked in advance), so that they may take part in a full meeting.   This is to allow people the opportunity to try the sport before buying.   If this is successful, and demand is great enough, a second kit will be purchased at a later date.
